My garden is full of weeds and cats

My garden tends to be full of weeds and the cats think it's their personal playground.
For me, it's my place to connect with the earth and grow some yummy food. This year I put in a bunch of cucumbers, kale, tomatoes, lettuce, pumpkins, squash, green beans, cilantro, arugala, watermelons and chilies. It also turns out I planted some kind of honeydew melon, I thought it was a cucumber or a squash, so that's a nice surprise.
My garden fence is shoddy, it was meant to be temporary I think, I didn't build it. Anyway, some of the fence posts were wood and have rotted out of the ground. It is also under constant attack from blackberry brambles, but when they were cut back the deer could see how short the fence is and have begun sneak attacks on my strawberries. I'm just glad they haven't discovered the tomato plants yet, though my favorite dandelion got eaten.
Some of the weeds are definitely there on purpose. I left a giant wild daisy, a patch of clover and some wild mustard looking things for the bees to snack on. The bees seem to really like the squash flowers too. The dandelions I eat. Greens go in smoothies and salads and the roots become what I drink instead of coffee. Roasting the dry roots makes them smell almost like chocolate and one batch was so tasty I ate it like candy, but most of it makes it into the tea. Marshmallow also gets harvested for the roots, it helps sooth sore throats and digestion.
Pigweed is a variety of amaranth, so I'm waiting to see the seed heads turn any pretty colors.
